ORDINANCE NO. 05-01

    

          AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT ORDINANCE

               04-05, CHAPTER 138 “FEES” AND CHAPTER 71 –

               SWIMMING POOL COMMISSION.

     BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Hillsdale as follows:

SECTION 1:  Chapter 138 of the Code of the Borough of Hillsdale is amended and supplemented to include membership fees in the following schedule and definition:

*VOLUNTEER:  Persons serving the Borough of Hillsdale, who are either elected or appointed to a Borough Board, office, department or commission and who are required to take an oath of office.  Volunteer shall include but not be limited to the Mayor and Council, Fire Department, Department of Health, Environmental Commission, Historian, Recreation Committee, Swimming Pool Commission, Hillsdale Board of Education, Police Reserve and Ambulance.

 

SECTION II:

 

CHAPTER 71:  "Swimming Pool Commission", Section 71-2 Members is hereby amended and supplemented as follows:

C.  Compensation:  The member of the commission shall serve without salary or other compensation for their service.  Excluded from the prohibition is membership rates afforded Borough volunteers.

SECTION IV:  This ordinance shall take effect immediately after final passage, approval and publication of notice thereof as required by law, and the provisions of this Ordinance shall be retroactive to January 1, 2005.
