ORDINANCE NO.06-04

 

               AN ORDINANCE TO ABOLISH THE POSITION

               OF BOROUGH ELECTRICIAN AND CREATE THE

               POSITION OF MANAGER OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS

               AND GROUNDS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC

               WORKS IN THE BOROUGH OF HILLSDALE IN

               BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

 

 

            Section I. Be it ordained that Ordinance 99-19 which created the Office of Borough Electrician is hereby repealed in its entirety and the salary set forth in that ordinance or subsequent ordinances is terminated.

 

     Section II.  Be it ordained that the Office of Manager of Public Buildings and Grounds is hereby created as an unclassified position in the Department of Public Works in the Borough of Hillsdale.

 

     Section III.  Be it ordained that the annual salary for the Office of Manager of Public Buildings and Grounds shall be set at $72,415 and that the salary for this position hereafter shall be included on the list of Officials in the Borough’s annual Official Salary Ordinance.  Whenever there shall be set forth a minimum and maximum amount of compensation, the employee shall be compensated within this range.

 

     Section IV.  Whenever an employee in this position is entitled to a paid vacation, all installments of salary attributable to such vacation time may be paid to such employee immediately prior to the commencement of such vacation.

 

     Section V.  The compensation fixed and determined by this ordinance for the persons holding the respective Office named above shall, except as otherwise provided for by statute, ordinance, or resolution, be in lieu of all other fees and costs.  Any fees received by the Office Holder shall be promptly turned over to the Borough’s Finance Officer.

 

     Section VI.  All ordinances or resolutions inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed as to such inconsistencies.

 

     Section VII.  This ordinance shall take effect immediately after final passage, approval and publication of notice thereof as required by law.
