RESOLUTION

Title:
Opposing Assembly Bill #2510 Authorizing County Clerk to Act as Local Registrar
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill #2510 will
authorize the County Clerk to act as the Local Registrar; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the County Clerk
to act as the local Registrar is NOT in the best interest of the residents of
Hillsdale; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that
the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Hillsdale opposes any such regulation
that would authorize the County Clerk to act as local Registrar for Vital
Statistics.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this
resolution be sent to Assemblywoman Charlotte Vandervalk, Assemblyman John
Rooney, Assemblyman Jeff Van Drew (sponsor of the bill), and to Senator Gerald
Cardinale.
