RESOLUTION

Title: Authorizing Negotiations for Upgrading of Television Services

for the Borough’s Cable Access Channel

WHEREAS, The Borough of Hillsdale advertised for the receipt of bids for the Upgrading of Television Services for the Borough’s Cable Access Channel on August 12, 2005, and no bids were received; and

WHEREAS, The Borough previously advertised for bids for this project and the one bid received was deemed incomplete and was rejected by resolution of the Borough Council; and

WHEREAS, The Borough has now advertised for bids for this project on two occasions and has not received an acceptable bid; and

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(3) allows for negotiation upon a second rejection as an exception to the local public contracts law;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Borough Administrator is hereby authorized to notify the unsuccessful bidder of the Borough’s intention to negotiate a contract for this project and to conduct such negotiations.
