RESOLUTION

Title:   Emergency Resolution for Unanticipated Bond Down Payment and for Swim Club Improvements

 

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A.40A:4-46 provides for municipalities to make emergency appropriations to cover purposes which were not foreseen at the time of budget adoption or for which inadequate provision was made; and

 

WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $23,400.00 are required in the Capital Improvement Fund to provide for the required down payment for Bond Ordinance 07-27 which reallocated prior capitol funds from unneeded areas to higher priority purposes and $1,500.00 is needed in Stonybrook Swim Club’s Capital Improvement Fund to cover improvements that cost more than budgeted.

 

WHEREAS, the total amount of emergency appropriations created including the appropriation to be created by this resolution is $24,900.00 and three percent (3%) of the total operations in the budget for the year 2007is $292,363.10; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, (by not less than 2/3 of all governing body members affirmatively concurring) the Borough Council of the Borough of Hillsdale that in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:4-48:

1)      An emergency appropriation be and the same is hereby made for $24,500.00.

2)      That said emergency appropriation shall be provided for in full in the 2008 Budget, and is requested to be excluded from CAPS.

3)      Two certified copies of this resolution are to be filed with the Director of Local Government Services.
