RESOLUTION

Title: Authorizing Cost of Living Adjustment

(COLA) for qualifying members of the

Hillsdale Fire Department and

Ambulance Service for 2006

WHEREAS, the Borough of Hillsdale, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 5:30-14.8, adopted Ordinance 99-17 establishing a Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP) for volunteer members of the Hillsdale Fire Department and Ambulance Service; and

WHEREAS, Local Finance Notice (LFN) 2007 – 1, authorizes municipalities with LOSAP plans to increase the 2006 LOSAP awards to qualifying members by 2% over the 2005 award amount ($1,260.00 to $1,285.00); and

WHEREAS, the Hillsdale Borough Council wishes to make such an adjustment;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2005 LOSAP award be increased by 2% for those members who met the criteria established by the Hillsdale Fire Department and Ambulance Service during 2006.
