BOROUGH OF HILLSDALE

 

RESOLUTION

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

Title.  Appropriation of funds to join together with other Pascack Valley municipalities to oppose realignment of airline flight patterns.

WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration is considering modifications to its airline flight patterns which would substantially affect the residents of the Borough of Hillsdale; and

WHEREAS, the Pascack Valley communities led by the Pascack Valley Mayors Association have banded together to oppose this modification of the airline flight patterns; and

WHEREAS, the contribution of the Borough is necessary to initiate such action against the Federal Aviation Administration;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Hillsdale, County of Bergen and State of New Jersey  that the Borough of Hillsdale shall join together with other Pascack Valley communities to oppose the Federal Aviation Administration’s modifications to airline flight patterns over the Pascack Valley; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation of Five Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollars shall be made to initially fund this action.
