RESOLUTION

Title: Establishment and Operation of Petty Cash Funds

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services, has issued regulations concerning the establishment and operation of petty cash funds, in accordance with R.S.40A:5-21; and

 

WHEREAS, the Borough of Hillsdale has previously established petty cash funds for the Borough Clerk’s Office, the Hillsdale Police Department and for General Public Assistance;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to the aforesaid regulations, the Borough Clerk is hereby authorized to re-establish petty cash funds as follows:

 

DEPARTMENT                    AMOUNT                              PURPOSE

Borough Clerk                          $     200                       To pay claims in connection with the

Office                                                                           Department of Public Works, Fire

                                                                                    Department, Recreation Department and

                                                                                    Borough Clerk’s Office for supplies,

                                                                                    postage, etc.

 

Hillsdale Police             $     200                       To pay claims for supplies, fuel, hardware,

Department                                                                  locksmith, etc.

 

Detective Bureau                      $     200                       Investigative Expenses.

Hillsdale Police

Department

 

General Public                          $     100                       Emergency Lodging, maintenance, etc.

Assistance and;

 

Stonybrook Swim                     $     200                       Operating Expenses of Swim Pool

Pool Commission

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Robert P. Sandt, Borough Clerk, be and he is hereby designated a Custodian of the Petty Cash fund for the Borough Clerk’s Office; that Elwood Stalter, Chief of Police, be and he is hereby designated as Custodian of the Petty Cash fund for the Hillsdale Police Department, Robert Francaviglia, Detective Sergeant, in the Hillsdale Police Department, be and he is hereby designated as Custodian of the Petty Cash Fund for the Detective Bureau, and Katherine E. Elgert, Welfare Director, be and she is hereby designated as Custodian of the Petty Cash Fund for General Public Assistance; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Petty Cash Funds be conducted in accordance with the aforesaid regulations.
