RESOLUTION

Title: Designating Time and Place of Regular Public Meetings

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Hillsdale, in the County of Bergen, and State of New Jersey, that the second Tuesday of each month, in the Council Chamber of the Municipal Building, 380 Hillsdale Avenue, Hillsdale, New Jersey, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. be designated as the time and place of Regular Public Meetings of the Borough of Hillsdale during the year 2008; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Hillsdale, (hereinafter referred to as “The Council”), in compliance with the provisions of the Open Public Meeting, (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 Et Seq.,) (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), that:

Section 1. Except as provided by Chapter 4, Section 10:4-12B of the Act, all meetings of the Council shall be open to the public at all times.

Section 2. At every Public Meeting, the public may actively participate during the time or times designated for that purpose in the order of business and the Council may take formal action.

Section 3. At every regular Council Agenda and Work Session Meeting, the Council may take formal action..

Section 4. The meetings of the Council shall be held on the dates and times set forth in the schedule annexed hereto and made a part hereof.

Section 5. Within seven (7) days following the adoption of this Resolution any revising or modification Resolution:

A. A copy shall be posted on a bulletin board accessible to the public at all business hours at or near the entrance to the Council’s meeting room and shall remain so posted until replaced with a duly adopted Resolution setting forth any revision thereof;

B. A copy shall be mailed to The Ridgewood News and The Record, two (2) newspapers circulating in the Borough.

C. A copy shall be filed with the Borough Clerk of the Borough of Hillsdale.

Section 6. Upon receipt by the Borough Clerk of a written request setting forth the name and address of the person making the request, the Clerk shall send to such person by regular mail, between the date of such request and December 31st, next ensuing, a copy of the meeting schedule referred to in Section 2, 3 and 4, all revisions thereof, and all other advance notices of regular, special, rescheduled and canceled meeting dates. Like mailings shall be sent free of charge to all news media requesting such notices.

All such requests shall terminate on December 31^st, next following the making of the request, but shall be subject to renewal upon receipt by the Borough Clerk of a renewal request and renewal fee.
