RESOLUTION

Title: Recreation Team Scheduling

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Hillsdale is concerned about the quality of life of its citizens; and

 

WHEREAS, sports recreational teams occasionally play their games on days which Hillsdale residents consider to be traditional days of leisure, worship or personal reflection; and

 

WHEREAS, the various coaches and leaders of Hillsdale’s recreational teams have all expressed a desire to promote the general welfare of our citizenry by stating that they will work diligently with other towns to schedule games at times best for all the children who participate in team sports; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,  by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Hillsdale that the governing body hereby urges the Recreational Team Leaders to continue to avoid the scheduling of games at times which interfere with commonly shared family obligations, be they religious, non-religious or leisure related in nature.
