RESOLUTION

Title: Authorize Mayor to Sign Contract for Cleaning Services

WHEREAS, the Borough of Hillsdale is in need of cleaning services for the Municipal buildings; and

WHEREAS, NMS Inc. (National Maintenance Service, Inc.) is a recognized leader of Cleaning Services; and

WHEREAS, there has been filed with the Borough Council the certification required by the procedural resolution adopted by the Local Finance Board on October 20, 1975, pursuant to R.S. 52:27BB-10; based upon the annexed certification of availability of funds, it is hereby determined that the funds required for the hereinafter authorized contract is appropriated in the Municipal Budget and that there shall remain under said appropriation a sufficient balance to pay for the expenditure hereby authorized for the year 2009.; and

WHEREAS, expenditures for the 2009 aforesaid contract is subject to the year 2009 Budget adoption and Borough Finance Officer certification.; and

WHEREAS, these services are therefore properly classified as extraordinary, unspecifiable services as defined by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-29(7) and this action is properly taken without competitive bidding pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1); and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Mayor Sapanara is hereby authorized to sign the contract with NMS, Inc., 63 Tenafly Road, Englewood, NJ 07631 for Cleaning Services in Municipal Buildings on behalf of the Borough of Hillsdale.
