RESOLUTION

Title: Authorize Purchase of a
Police Car.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Hillsdale is in need of a Police Car due to the loss of a Police Car by fire; and
WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing has contract number A-72467 which authorizes the purchasing of a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria from Winner Ford of Cherry Hill, New Jersey in the base price of $20,329 with add-ons of $823.20 and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Hillsdale has received $19,725 in insurance reimbursement for the replacement of the damaged vehicle; and
WHEREAS, there will be sufficient funds in the 2010 budget to cover any shortfall between the two amounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by
the Council of the Borough of Hillsdale that the Police Chief and Chief
Financial Officer/QPA be authorized to use State Contract number A-72467 to
purchase the replacement police vehicle.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Council that the Police Chief and Chief
Financial Officer/QPA be authorized to use the following State contracts to
purchase the contents for the Police Car which was fully funded by the
insurance company:
A-53804: XTL2500
A-74011,
A75947, A46879: Various equipment including but not limited to lightbars,
microphone system & speakers, push bumpers, console, strobe system: $6,468.70
