RESOLUTION

Title: Adopting a Green Purchasing Policy

 

WHEREAS, the Borough of Hillsdale wishes to participate in the Sustainable Jersey Program and the Green Purchasing Policy is one of the requirements; and

 

WHEREAS, the Borough of Hillsdale wishes to incorporate green purchasing where feasible and fiscally prudent; and

 

WHEREAS, the Green Purchasing Policy from Sustainable Jersey has been incorporated and revised to meet the Borough’s needs; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Hillsdale adopts the attached as its Green Purchasing Policy.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Green Purchasing Policy and Procedures will be in effect as long as they do not conflict with the Purchasing Statutes of the State of New Jersey or become cost prohibitive for the Borough.
