BOROUGH OF HILLSDALE PLANNING BOARD REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR PLANNING BOARD ATTORNEY PLANNING BOARD ENGINEER PLANNING BOARD PLANNER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 and 20.5 et seq. The Borough of Hillsdale Planning & Zoning Board desires to award professional contracts pursuant to a "fair and open process" for the positions of Planning Board Attorney and Planning Board Engineer, and hereby solicit qualifications in the form of resumes and letter applications for this position. Submit all resumes and letter applications for the position of Planning Board Attorney, or Planning Board Engineer in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the respondent and clearly marked "Response to RFQ for Planning Board Attorney or Planning Board Engineer, as appropriate, and mailed or delivered to the Deputy Secretary, as follows: Natalie Rowe, Deputy Secretary Borough of Hillsdale Planning Board 380 Hillsdale Ave. Hillsdale, NJ 07642. The resumes and letter applications should include all qualifications and satisfaction of the criteria set forth in the document entitled "Criteria for Submission of Qualifications for Professional Contracts under the Fair and Open Process" which is available from the Deputy Secretary, 201-666-4800 ex 1543 or All qualifications, resumes and letter applications must be submitted to the Deputy Secretary, to be received no later than 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023.. Faxed and/or electronic proposals will not be accepted. It is anticipated that professional contracts for the positions described in this notice shall be considered for awarding at the January 26, 2023 ,meeting of the Hillsdale Planning Board in 2023. Planning Board Meetings
All Meetings begin at 7:30 pm unless otherwise noted.
Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Borough Hall
Due to technical issues with FIOS and Optimum, meetings will not be available to be viewed through these cable channels until further notice.
The Planning Board conducted a comprehensive community survey intended to gather residents’ input regarding key issues facing the Borough as the Board prepares its periodic reexamination of the Borough Master Plan and development ordinances as required by law.  The Borough’s Master Plan establishes the long-term vision of the community including specific goals and policies designed to guide future growth and development in Hillsdale.  The Borough’s development ordinances consist of the local laws that regulate how land can be developed and used in order to achieve the future vision of the community.  


Among other analysis and information, the community survey  identifies issues which the Board may take into consideration and address in its forthcoming reexamination report.
